-By Harold Amos I was twenty-nine years old. My wife and I wanted to go on a weekend trip with our nine year old son. We heard Jimmy Hendrix along with several other big bands would be performing in Bethel which is only an hour drive from our house at the time so we decided to go. The day the concert came; we jumped into our brand new 69’ camero and drove down to Woodstock. We made excellent time. We got there late, but zipped through the line, paid our $20 for a ticket and found ourselves a spot on the lawn. There was an unbelievable amount of people there. There were a lot of cool bands performing, but before we knew it, the event we were all waiting for came. We got to see Jimmy Hendrix live on stage. It was the most memorable night of my life.
